Hi,

I have a fig tree in my yard I am trying to get rid of. I was digging for about an hour and a half and exposed the root ball and managed to get part of the root ball removed.

I sprayed the expose roots with round up. I was planning to also cover the root ball with a plastic bag. I hear this is a very hard to kill and if roots are left in the ground it will come up, this why I stopped digging. Will the round up and covering suffice you think?

Roundup won't do a thing sprayed on the root ball. It needs to be sprayed on the leaf area or carried to that area in sap.

Leave the hole open like that for a few days then build a fire over it and let it burn for a few hours.
