How long does it take from seedling to harvest?
I’ve seen these little seedlings for sale at our garden centre before, but from what I’ve been reading, it takes at least 1-2 years, is that correct?

Well from seed you need at least 3 years to start harvesting for approximately 4 months if you harvest from the second year you will just be delaying the asparagus plants from fully developing their root system and therefore won't be producing thicker Spears. I say approximately 4 months for harvesting because the asparagus plant needs time to recover from the harvesting for next year.​
