Epipremnum Aureum - Plant growing new leaves but no stem

Hi,

I inherited a rather dead Epipremnum Aureum and have tried to nurse it back to health. I've taken two cuttings of the original plant and have put them both in water. They have grown really good roots and they seem to keep growing really healthy looking leaves. However, all I'm getting is new leaf growth and the plant itself is not growing.

Please can someone help me and suggest what I should do to truly bring this Epipremnum Aureum back to life.
