Dahlia 'Pulp Fiction' (close-up) (from my garden, Aug. 15, 2016). The 'Pulp Fiction' has bright red flowers with a backdrop of deep dark purple foliage.
I've never seen a dahlia like this here. Thank you for posting this lovely picture.
