Hello all!
At the start of this year my mums cyclamen which is over 20 years old (her grandma gave it to her before she died) started to deteriorate and the flowers and leaves all died away which was confusing because our other cyclamen wasn’t doing that at the same time.
My mum gave up on the plant and assumed it was dead so she put it outside roughly a month or two ago. Today I had a look at it, broke away all the dry soil and anything else of the plant that just broke away easily and I got to this round thing that had roots attached (after my research I think it’s called a tuber, it will be in the photos attached.)
The tuber feels hollow but the roots don’t look rotten or dead since they are still quite strong so I need to know, can I bring this plant back in the fall when it comes out of dormancy or is it gone for good now? Also side note, once I got it out of the soil I put it in a pot of water as I would with my other plants if I wanted them to grow more//produce roots.
Sorry this is so long, pictures of the plant are attached!
