Hi all , my clematis refused to bloom this year despite a healthy growth of lush green leaves
any ideas please ..thanks Micky

Is it getting enough sunlight? Clematis like their feet in the shade and their heads in the sun. Also a neutral soil and they are greedy feeders. Yours looks very healthy and has plenty of foliage. Perhaps you are giving a fertilizer that's too high in nitrogen???

Thankyou Anniekay my clematis gets enough sun and some shade
actually I haven’t fed it at all ..maybe that’s the problem, yet last year it
was full of beautiful blooms still with no feed At all ..
maybe it’s sulking..

Thanks Louis, probably my fault as I don’t know when to prune or not to prune..
I have another clematis that’s flowering like mad right now and this one was cut right down to the ground ..see photo , thanks for your input..Micky
