Yes, they are easy to grow. But, in my experience the hotter the chili the longer and more challenging it is. Also, soil temperature is very important to both sweet and hot chili

Not sure what your climate is like, but I imagine you have a good, hot growing season?
It's been my experience that to achieve full heat and flavor, peppers need lots of warmth and sun. I haven't had much luck growing really flavorful peppers here.
