I have a ton of wild strawberry plants and 1 strawberry plant from Lowes. The strawberry plant from Lowes has produced a runner and many strawberries, except a rat ate all of them. After that incident, I wanted to return the plant. Then I thought of buying like 5 strawberry plants from lowes, wait for them to produce runners, and then return all of them. Thus leaving me with free strawberry plants. Has anyone tried this?

You can't do it now that you have exposed your own scam! LOL!

Also, it will take a while for the plants to have runners!

Lmao! Why stop there? Why not buy 100 strawberry plants, plant them, wait, eat the strawberries off, then dig them up and return them? Claim they just didn’t meet your taste expectations and you needed to be thorough in your field testing.
