Castor bean seeds

I have grown the Castor bean plant it’s reached about 13 feet and seeding out when do you collect the seed they are still green pods

The seeds will be ready to harvest when the seed pods are brown and starting to split. Why? Do you plan on poisoning someone?

I thought maybe you were planning to make lip balm! I've seen caster bean oil in many lip balm products.
