Can lime be applied in the same place over and over indefinitely?

Long story short: we have an area that continually gets bad-smelling water dripped on it (RV kitchen waste tank). There's no way to stop it, so we want to apply lime over the area to kill the odor. (Nothing like sewer waste, but still unpleasant.) Can we apply a fresh coat of lime every week till the cows come home (or they leave lol)? or will the lime start building up layer by layer higher? Thanks all!

Components of lime will leach away, like calcium. "Liming" agents in soil commonly leach away in high humidity lands , leaving the acidic soil condition. There is more to unpack of course but generally you will make the spot alkaline.
