Beets

Having trouble raising beets, would like info on raising beets

I'll assume you are in growing zone 8B? I grow beets just about every year and I'm located on the north side of 8B.

I start them in the early fall from seed ...like late Sept. and leave them in the ground until harvesting around the first of the next March. They are very low maintenance.

We pickle most of ours and they are really delicious.
