A nest in the making

They were there last year and are back again. These black birds - a couple - are working hard to build their nest in our improvised letter box. The postman is careful not to push anything in there when he sees the birds in action.

The birds are in search of material to build their nest. It is a joy to see both husband and wife working together.

They have found the material are are on their way to the hide-out. They will be making countless trips till they are satisfied with the nest.

The atmosphere in our garden is ideal for birds and they are there rain or shine.

Those birds do look familiar to me, I've seen similar ones, but without the white feathers Very nice ones! They found a really good place for their nest, I hope they are not too hot during the summer

I am hoping they will stay there till the eggs are laid and babies born.

There are so many species that look the same and so I would not really know.
