zone 8b is a great zone for pansies, especially for fall and winter blooms.

In warmer climates like zone 8b, pansies are often planted in the fall, allowing them to establish before winter. They can bloom throughout the cooler months and into spring. By the time the hot summer temperatures arrive, pansies usually start to fade, as they prefer cooler weather.

To get the best results:

  1. Plant pansies in well-draining soil.
  2. Position them in a location with full sun to partial shade.
  3. Water them consistently but avoid waterlogged conditions.
  4. Protect them from intense midday sun during the warmer periods.
Given the right care, pansies should thrive in your zone, providing color during times when many other plants aren't in bloom.
