Hi people,

I'm a gardening newbie and can't find the exact information, so I would be most grateful if you guys can help me out :).

I would like to ask what's the optimal soil depth for planting violas/pansies?

Any information would be much appreciated :).

Wish you all the best.

Eeeeeeeek. Do not plant violas if you do not want an invasive underground spreading nasty plant.

took me years to eradicate this little piece of work out of my lawn. An innocent little trojan horse. Or at least that is the variety commonly sold at our local garden centers.

DO NOT GO THERE.

I am still a newbie but I will never forget the stress these little buggers caused me!

Greetings, welcome to the Forums.Pansies and Bedding Violas (Viola x wittrockiana, V. x williamsii) should be planted at the same depth that they grew in the container, though a thin layer of finishing mulch may be added somewhat higher than this.

The seed of Pansies and Viola should be planted at a depth of 3 to 5 mm.
