I was checking our potted plants today when I notice this. It's very beautiful, but I don't know what it is called. Can anybody please identify this? Thanks! :)

Looks very much to me like one of these - a Wax Begonia or Begonia Semperlorens

Begonia - Hanging.jpg

which although known as a tender perennial - is mostly grown as an annual and a very popular one too - due it it being an extremely durable easy care plant and a heavy prolific bloomer - that is suitable for growing in just about any situation from flower beds to hanging baskets and containers - its also a very popular choice as indoor plant and comes in other colors such as these

To post it in a public place . ie .these forums...without permission is wrong...it is a sort of theft.

This is why I always add links to pics...UNLESS I have taken the pic and I own the copyright

It is similar to someone who writes a book. To copy their words is plagiarism.
Quote wiki....Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions" and the representation of them as one's own original work"

Hey hey - Silver surfer - slow down - before you start jumping to conclusions, making allegations and wrongfully accusing me of something I haven't committed - please be sure to get the facts right first.

Particularly as

Copyright laws DO NOT apply to pictures that are taken from a Public Domain Site - as unless they have been copyright protected - photos from a Public Domain Site are free to all - to be used to enhance posts on forums etc - providing that they are not used for profit or wrongly claimed to be your own photo.

Which as I only ever use pictures that are free to use and only available from Public Domain Sites that are not copyright protected and I never use them for profit or claim them to be my own - I AM NOT infringing any copyright laws or committing any kind of plagiarism either.

So whether you know who took the photographs I posted or not - as they were available from a Public Domain Site and were therefore free to all - the owners of the photographs obviously don't mind their use - otherwise they would have made sure that they were copyright protected and would certainly not have placed them on a Public Domain Site.

First, thank you so much for identifying the picture I uploaded. Second, I agree with GATA on the copyright laws. I do appreciate you reminding people about using pictures though, silver surfer. However, next time, please don't be so quick to judge or be so aggressive to other members.
