I’m pretty sure it is an Iresine. They come in several different colors. They like lots of light and hate to get very dry.

I think it could well be - this is a picture I found of Pseudoeranthemum. Not a plant I know, but the leaves are lovely.

Here’s a picture of the stems.They are not really soft,I guess we can call it woody.

Also the top leaves have turned green from red.Since I am unable to identify the plant I am not really sure how to take care if it.Any help would be appreciated.

Having looked at the stems, I`m agreeing with what @cpp gardener said in the first place - Iresine family.

For any of them the care is pretty similar. Lots of light (I mean LOTS of light), keep moist not soggy and did I mention lots of light.
