Pretty sure I already know the answer but just in case!

I was strimming my driveway and I think I’ve cut tulip sprouts along with all the old grass

Any chance they will actually grow and bloom this year?

Thinking not but said I’d ask.

Ok thanks a lot for your reply! Gives me hope! Also got -4 coming in the next few days so hopefully the frost doesn’t mangle them also!

Your welcome,they shouldn't be affected by the frost, mine has started to grow but now has stopped because of the frost.

Tulips are pretty frost hardy. A friend of mine found a bag of bulbs and realised he had forgotten to plant them as contracted. It was freezing hard and he had to use a crowbar to make holes in the frozen ground to put them in, they came up and flowered fine.
As for those trimmed shoots, provided it was just the tips I see no reason why the rest of the leaf shouldn't come up fine, and the flower bud is probably still down underground.
