Can someone tell me what may be the cause here
Has happened to two Cherokee purple plants I don't know what too do soil fertility and ph checks out good

Leaf curl is generally due to environmental stress factors like excess heat, cold soil or saturated soil which can cause root rot. Any chance you over watered those two in particular?

They are in wicking beds i did water the soil on top just a bit to help cool them down i guess its possible i overwatered
