Have my old TB70SS trimmer which needs a new head. I purchased a Speed Feed 400 Universal. I can not figure how to attach this to the trimmer. Is it even possible? Here is a picture of the original Tb70ss trimmer head off. Thank you so very much for the help.

It looks like you may have dissambled too much. The drive gear is normally not part of head replacement in my limited experience. Are those screws in the 4 holes of the existing head? if so, that may be the path, and once the face is off, the tip of the main shaft might have a fastener bolt or screw which can then be accessed and removed.

As DirtMechanic has said, 'you went too far in your disassemble'. In your first photo, you see that rust colored nut? Put a wrench on it to hold it from turning. With your other hand, grab the head, and spin it off.
