Interesting article. It introduced me to "Chitin" which sounds like what we do to prepare seed potatoes for planting...but it's not.

Instead, it is a natural compound found in the exoskeletons of insects and the cell walls of fungi. a fascinating substance with a lot of potential in sustainable agriculture which I'm interested in.

Grape marc is the skins of the grapes that have been crushed in wine making. It is acidic and my preferred way of lowering pH.
Black soldier fly larvae are not something I have heard of before. I have now and will make enquires.
