Rudbeckia hirta Cherry Brandy ‘Black-eyed Susan’

Rudbeckia hirta Cherry Brandy ‘Black-eyed Susan’ (from my garden, July 28, 2013). The ‘Black-eyed Susan’ bear large daisy heads with petals that are cherry red at the tips, shading to maroon at the base, surrounding big black eyes.

I usually associate Black-Eyed Susan with yellow color, but this is such a nice color to see. This year though, I am starting to see different colors at the garden centers, and if I have space in my given area, I will plant them.
