One Red Pontiac Potato plant was dug.Thyis was the first off the Season. The yield was three pounds of quality potatoes. The vegetation was not dead, so there was still some growth for the tubers if left undisturbed.

We don't usually have that red potato here although that is common in Baguio City where most of the American vegetables come from - broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, lettuce and big tomatoes. My mother said that the red potato is the best ingredient for potato salad because it has a different texture and taste from the yellow potato. So whenever we go to Baguio, I buy a kilo of that red potato for potato salad.
