Hi there,

I bought this plant a few weeks ago and can't identify it, it's driving me crazy. Any ideas are appreciated! If it helps, the leaves are quite thick and waxy rather than thin and grassy. And yes my cat has been gnawing on it.

Thanks!

Hi,
I think it’s callisia fragrans.

Thanks for the idea! I can see some similarity, but can't find a photo with very close markings or colours, especially the pink undersides of the leaves. Maybe a different Callisia species or possibly an uncommon variegated variety?

UPDATE:
I widened my search to the whole Commelinaceae family and found that the genus Tradescantia is very closely related to Callisia, and I think I found a match: Tradescantia spathacea "sitara's gold"

Thank you so much Bonnie_patrick for pointing me in the right direction!
