Photo of the Month: Topics and rules

Welcome to the Photo of the Month section! We hold a monthly competition where users can submit their own photos into a draw, and the winning photo will be shown on the sidebar for the whole of the following month. The rules are as follows:

• No more than one submission per member each month
• The photo must be your own (but not necessarily your own garden)
• There will be a different topic each month (see below)
• Entries should be made no later than the 20th of the month
• A poll will be released on the 21st of the month to select the winning photo
• Voting will then take place until the end of the month
• The winning photo will be announced on the 1st of the following month

January - Anything Goes!
February - Winter
March - Pathways
April - Greenery
May - New Growth
June - Pets in your Garden
July - Macro Photography
August - Summer
September - Water
October - Edibles
November - Dawn or Dusk
December - Shadows

I've had a little move around of the topics so that the Spring / Summer / Autumn / Winter fall during more appropriate months (taking into account the fact that submissions are made in the prior month).

I've made a small change to the topics - 'Whole Garden' has been replaced with 'Greenery' for the April topic. This can include house plants, grasses, shrubs, foliage, even green vegetables!
