This video shows oriental people hill soil up around onion bulbs same as potato hills to grow larger onions. I have always been told to remove soil around onion bulbs so bulbs grow larger. Which way is best? They have custom built machines to do fast easy work they grow 5" diameter onions. We don't want 5" onions wife wants smaller 3" & 3½" diameter she has trouble slicing large onions.
