Broad beans, peas, potatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, lettuces, spinach, tomatoes, onions and the very last of the 2nd flush of rhubarb.

Oh, and I hand-pollinated my very first pumpkin today. I've never grown them before.:D

Just reading the names of these vegetables makes me hungry:) I'm in a mood for fresh cucumber. I'd kill for a sandwich with cucumber slices and cheese:D
Today, I harvested some strawberries and one tomato:cool:

Awesome! It seems you are having such a big success with your veggie garden! I need to try that once I move out, I truly need to learn more about it! Never tried pollinate something, but have heard a lot folks over here have tried. So it might not be as complicated as I thought :) Need to read more about it tho.

My wife "harvests" the strawberries.;)
We got a whole pyrex dish of them on Thursday.
Lifted my first garlic bulb last night. It's small, but I have loads, so I don't mind.
Another week or so, and I hope to get my first green pepper.

Dug the Garlic, before the stems dissapear and I don't know where it is. It's drying in the sun :)

Way behind on everything else, a few peas coming on and the spuds are flowering.

Just finished digging up and storing the last of my potatoes and consuming the last of my abundant crop of cherries and apricots which I've been enjoying for the past six weeks and although its a bit unfortunate that I won't have any fresh fruit to pick for a while - as my strawberries, peaches, melons and grapes won't be ready for another few weeks - I will instead be able to enjoy eating plenty of fresh vegetables - as some of my zucchini, eggplants, peppers, lettuces, radishes, cucumbers and the first of the tomatoes will be ready for picking within the next few days :)

Had a good day on the plot, got the Tomatoes all in, along with some peppers. Replaced a load of onions that were failing.

Currently I am only harvesting Pickle Bush Cucumbers.I think that is what they are called, I am just growing them to a certain size and then putting them in jars. At first it was slow going, but now there is like several everyday its awesome! My tomatoes are not ready yet though, I mean I think beef steaks take the longest to mature.

We've been harvesting Apache blackberries and blueberries. The Cherry, Brandywine, and Beefmaster tomatoes are 2-3 feet tall with lots of flowers but no tomatoes yet. Still waiting for the peppers too and I have 13 varieties of those. There are some flowers on those too but it's still early.

Aptly, for the start of Wimbldon, I have a few beetroot the size of tennis balls.

Sounds excellent! :)

I have a recipe I really want to try with beetroot - chocolate and beetroot cake, yum. What do you usually do with yours?

I've only grown them once before; short of room and not that great.
I'm going to investigate chocolate and beetroot cake immediately!!!
