I don't know why occupation is even there. I certainly never filled in that blank. All that is needed is where you live and the hardiness zone. Forget the occupation, its no ones business anyway

I'm not sure why it said that! How weird. Like Chuck says, it's not a required bit of information. The fact that it's there at all is because it's the default layout of the forum software.
