As a novice gardener, my understanding is the Iris unfortunately flowers once a season. I would like to know when after the petals fall off, should I stop the watering?

Also, should the bulbs be dug up and stored during winter?

@EddieH, You do not have to dig up Iris bulbs and store during winter. Some Irises grow from rhizomes.

@EddieH, You would not need to be watering the Irises now. There may be rainfall in the late Summer and the Autumn seasons.
