Hey y'all, first of all I have no experience with growing ivy. Over the past couple months people have picked away at ivy on a house and it now looks really bad and I'm trying to get it growing again. I'm not sure what kind of vine it is, but if anyone knows please include that, I'll attach a close up picture. It grows thick up high where no one can reach it but is pretty much picked barren where people can reach it. Any help I can get to get this stuff growing back the way it once was would be very helpful. Thanks!

That's quite pretty! Doesn't much look like ivy to me though...where in the USA are you located, and does it flower? These things would help to identify it.

I suppose getting it back to its former glory would involve a plan to stop people from picking it off your house. :) I have perennial grape ivy that will take over my house and front fence if I let it...I aggressively prune it back several times during the growing season and it is stubborn stuff. As long as the main branches and roots are intact it will probably do fine if left to its natural course.

I'm in Alabama currently and yes, a plan to keep them away would probably be the best idea lol. I've never seen it flower before
