I love gardening and landscaping. I don't always do it well but I still like it. I am in charge of my school enclosed courtyard and am in the process of replanting almost all of it. We are over run with Canna Lilies.

welcome and why not dig some up and have a bulb sale or trade for plants you want for the school garden .Let all the parents know ,trade or sale ,the children can make the cards up and pass them around to family members .I did that when my son was in grade school in NJ .We got lots of plants for the school courtyard that way .I ran them the whole time my son was in Ben Franklin school and they still do them these days

Sounds like a nice plant to be over run with. I can't get them to stay alive here unless I bring them in for the winter. Think it's our wet ground that rots them.

Put mulch around them and then rocks as the rocks will pick up the heat and keep the bulbs from freezing .Thats how I kept them alive in NJ and even here .I do the same thing with caladiums

I don't think it's so much the cold as our very wet climate here.
