Hi everyone I'm from Vancouver Island, and a semi-novice gardener who's here to hopefully give and get some awesome advice. I've got mostly raised vegetable gardens this year, which are looking great thanks to the beautiful summer we've been having!
I'm definitely looking forward to take part in this community!

Greetings and welcome to the forum! I am a neighboor to the south in Washington State! We have very similair climates so hopefully we can share some great ideas with each other. The one great thing about this region is that it is lush with vegetation!

British Columbia is temperate compared to the rest of Canada. I'm sure Sunflower will get around to adding her zone , look how long ot took me to do it!

We Canucks spend every minute we can outside in the summer instead of in front of our computers. Look out though come winter, lots of online actin then

Hello SunflowerPower! I'm also on the Island, midway up in Royston. We just came home from a couple of weeks in Edmonton with our grandkids and it is so nice to be home again in this verdant, sweet green place! I hear that we missed some lovely gardening weather and I have much to do to prepare to plant. My favourite neighbour-gardener has recently put in a chainlink fence between our two yards and I am feeling a little exposed, but perhaps that will act as incentive to get off the computer and out into the yard? He is 87 years old and really sets the pace around here for yard and garden work!
