Hi all. I've been gardening here for about the last 25 years and off & on before that in other places. I am completely on board with whole edible landscape idea so I have a question about how people have incorporated some vegetables into their landscape an/or decorative plants on decks and patios. I have some wall planters that I usually grow Nasturtiums and some trailing vinca vine in. I am wondering if anyone has planted pole beans or runner beans as a decorative trailing plant?

Welcome @Cmcl . I've planted a lot of pole beans over the years for food not decoration, but I could see where they could be considered decorative also. One thing to watch for is to be sure to keep picking the beans as they mature or else the plant will stop blooming and producing. Otherwise, should be good on any trellis you have.

Might try a little wigwam with mixed beans on so I have scarlet, white and violet flowers.
