I have about 2.5 acres on a south facing hill. It was mature garden. I keep about half of it nearest the house in check, cut the grass, plant shrubs, prune etc. But I let the other half grow wild over the past 4 years or so, it wasn't a manicured lawn, more of a field with some trees and shrubs.

But now the grass is knee height, nettles and briars have sprouted everywhere, and it looks like dozens of ant colonies have taken over one large area.

Not sure what to do really, part of me thinks of going to a farmer and telling them to take silage out of there if they want (if they can fit in the gate!), part of me wonders if borrowing a few sheep would be better. Think it might strain the ride on too much. And then once the grass is cut back…what does one do with anthills?

Borax and pancake syrup with a little water. Sheep or goats will do the trick on the weeds.
I guarntee it will work and fast.
