Fungus??

Find this growing around a Marigold. Garden is not overly wet and I didn't see it anywhere else. Just this patch. Any thoughts what it is and if it's something to be worried about? Yes, it looks like dog poo... It is not.

It's living on the leaf mold, won't hurt the mariglods
