I love roses but have never planted a rose bush. I have been thinking about it lately and was wondering if anybody had any tips for a first timer?

The first thing is that we have to know if it came in a container or is bare root. Some differences in the planting occur with each type. Bare root roses are dormant so they aren't actively growing, a potted rose is growing.

Growing a rose bush isn't very difficult. My very first plant was a miniature rose
Water your rose regularly, feed it with a fertilizer, remember to cut off all withered flowers and prune some branches from time to time.
