Looking for advice on designing a section of our garden. We live in southwestern Ontario. We are taking out the bushes and replacing them. I'd like some evergreens. Preferably conifers but the left side of the garden can be pretty shady getting sunnier toward the right side. I'm not a huge fan of yews and max height of 5'. I also don't want to block the windows or at least only partially blocked. 2-3' height would be ok here. There's more room on the right than then left. We also need to plant a bit further out to ensure they get rain with the overhang.

Welcome @neecermcg

Plant what you like...candidates I would be looking at would be dwarf varieties e.g. dwarf blue spruce, dwarf Alberta spruce, and dwarf junipers. The dwarf junipers we have are maintenance free and tolerate some shade.
