Tassel Flowers are nice for the front of the flower border. They lend themselves well to container gardens.

They would be great in a meadow garden, too. Sprinkled around in a mixed border or in a mass planting to knock your socks off! I’ve found them to be really easy to grow and they reseed themselves for next year’s garden. The only problem I have is trying to find them in nurseries.

@cpp gardener, Have you tried buying the seeds?

No, I usually just buy plants - I don’t have much space so I just get a six-pack or two. I have seen them in Johnnie’s Select Seeds and T&M.

Emilia are lovely. Some species are common as roadside weeds in many tropical regions. They are in the Groundsel Tribe (Senecioneae) of the Sunflower Family (Asteraceae).
