Around 10 years prior I purchased my Bulldog spade and fork from the first Smith and Hawken store I ever visited, and right up 'til today I still do the majority of my planting and gardening with them.
Smith and Hawken doesn’t sell them anymore, but you can still go to the store's official website and buy them online.
They have the ability to last nearly forever depending on how carefully you deal with them. They are justified despite being a bit pricey, and it is a genuine investment worth a lifetime of good garden work. I've got me eye on S & J's stainless steel never bend Forks and Spades next. They should be just as durable, if not better.
