Hi, I have a few questions regarding some of my houseplants? When the weather gets better I will be taking to the garden so I hope I can tap into everyones knowledge here to help me along?

Ok, so , houseplants.

I have underfloor heating in the conservatory, I have this big Jade, I'm thinking about repotting it as it has been in this pot for several years. If I repot it it will become a floor plant, will the underfloor heating effect its roots?

I have a large Yukka and it seems to do quite well with underfloor heating.

The Jade has been in the conservatory for around three months (we moved here at the start of January) and it seems to have droopy leaves at the bottom but is growing well at the top, is this an adjustment problem? It also has small white spots on some of the leaves but I put this down to hard water.

Any thoughts on my plants? The only direct sunlight is late afternoon but its still quite bright.

Your Jade (Crassula ovata) looks fine to me they always drop there bottom leaves as they grow. You will need to repot it soon though, as it will become top-heavy & end up a pill of cutting on the floor;) You could if you wanted give it some fresh air in summer as they are happy out side in England in summer . As long as know frosts are on the cards (May -to-September). So maybe repot next month In a larger terracotta pot and add some Plant Pot Feet.....Google them they will get the pot just of the floor. When potting add a little grit to bottom of pot for draining plus a little to the potting compost mix and then top dress the pot with grit also to help keep the roots cool.................Ps they love sunshine ... The more sun the better the money plant(y)

Thanks Darren, Ive read that they love light but not direct light which is ideal as my back yard only gets sun in the afternoon and the conservatory is usually in the shadow of the house until the evening time, although come summer it will be quite sunny in there from probably mid day onwards and quite hot I would imagine.
Would it not be prudent to repot sooner as the plant has started to grow quite quickly , in fact in the 5 or 6 years I've had it I've never seen it grow this quick but its always been in a kitchen with not much light, we just moved here in January so its probably loving this new well lit location.

Repotting now will not be a problem robgil To be honest You can repot them at anytime of year & as it is growing give it a watering in after. Plus water as and when it needs it ( once every week or two till winter next )

Cool, Ive got some general potting compost, I understand these need well drained soil so as you say add some grit, by grit what do you mean? I have some gravel for the drive that I can use? You know like little pebbles?

that is fine to add to the bottom of the pot ...about half an inch then compost. If you have any fine grit. then a handful would be beneficial to add to compost but don't worry to much if you don't as long as you have good drainage at bottom of pot that will be fine

We have maximum temperature in summer reaching 47°C and the Jade thrives........ I very much doubt underfloor heating is gonna bother it.
