What an attractive form of Opium Poppy (Papaver somniferum), also known as Breadseed Poppy. Probably originally native to parts of the the Mediterranean basin, the Opium Poppy is now grown worldwide, not only for its potent alkaloids, but also for beautiful flowers, ornamental seed pods, and blue-grey or white seeds that add texture, mild flavour, and visual interest to many breads and pastries.

The cultivar pictured above appears to be Papaver somniferum 'Drama Queen', or a very similar form.
