Why are my ambrosia and cantelope so sickly?

I have three raised beds that are really thriving with the exception of my melons. They are very sickly looking - curled up brown leaves and zero growth since planting. I'm thinking that I may have added to much manure to that particular bed, but the pumpkins and beans are growing like gangbusters. Perhaps the PH is all wrong for the melons? This is my first time growing them since helping in my parents garden, so I don't have a lot of experience growing melons.

I grew the ambrosia cantelopes last year for the first time with limited success to say the least haha. They produced about 7 huge ones...beautiful melons but only the last one was sweet enough to want to eat. I have some planted now with one little melon. I'm near new Orleans and I found they didn't really get going good til late summer and fall. Good luck with yours.
