Strawberry tower topped with elderberry/marionberry?

So I saw this tutorial:

And fell in love with it, so i went to the nursery and got 18 strawberry plants (yay for sales) and intended to just get some pretty flowery things to top it off with and ended up coming home with an elderberry bush and a marionberry plant. I was wondering if I could plant one kd them in the top of the laundry basket?

I think their root systems might be a little large for a basket. They both grow into pretty large bushes.

Sure! Strawberries have shallow root systems.

What other fruit plants would be good to put on top? I mean it would be great to have that many strawberry plants but id like the kids to have more variety. I know the strawberries have shallow roots so I was hoping with putting the elderberry bush on top its roots would be able to take up the 2/3 of the basket that the strawberries aren't in
