Spinach leaf problem

Never had problem with spinach before. The two containers I have are not doing good. I have stuff nearby in my raised beds that I covered over the winter (and made it) that are perfectly fine.

Over-watering, is that a possibility?

Too hot? My spinach seems to bolt earlier and earlier every year, and this year, though it has not bolted, seems NOT to be thriving either. Everyone keeps mentioning it has been too hot. I'm going to re-plant mine in a small container and put it on the front porch where it only receives the morning sun and not the heat of the afternoon. We shall see. I'll be stalking this thread in the meantime to see if I can't find answers as well.
