Well I was lucky and now I am not. Well I am lucky because after 6 jabs I have very mild symptoms but unlucky because the grass is going green and the energy loss really taps me. I think I have had it before but did not test for it because it was mild. I got a line in a song stuck in my head about covid and because I am stuck I thought why not bother you to read it.
Hello Covid, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a wife softly sleeping
Left her seeds while I was sleeping
And the dull ache that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams, I walk alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my cover to the chill and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light, I saw
A wife check once, maybe more
If she could talk without speaking
She seems to hear without listening
She writes cat songs that are never shared
And no dog dared
Disturb my sound of silence
"Ya’ll" said I, "You do not know
Silence like a boredom grows
Hear my words that I might reach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
And echoed down the hall in silence
And the people at the door bowed and prayed
about the mistake they just made
And a sign flashed out its warning
“Stay Away”
In the week that it was forming
The wife said, "The words on the test
are written on the cardboard box
In iconic jests"
And I sneezed in the sound of silence
