Seattle Area: Have a couple of planters with Japanese iris which did their bloomin' thing earlier this year; now -- here in the middle of November they have shown back up and are about 8"-10" tall! Is this the warming climate's version of recycling? Should I just let them do whatever they're going to do and enjoy whatever 2nd Time Around blossoms show up? Thanks.

Not unusual at all for multiple blooms. All our iris are getting ready again also. They are all in the ground around the house. While a plant might not be natural to your area and it seems odd, down here in the south the cooling fall is the beginning of a growing season that ends in the heat of an approaching summer, so it is natural that the plants bloom at the beginning of their reproduction cycle.
