Diseased Maple Tree

We live in Southern California. Starting in the summer, our maple tree leaves wilted and turned brown, appearing to have started to fall prematurely as well (mid-summer). Are there any products we can buy or methods to employ for improving the leaf and overall tree condition to prevent disease?
