When to fertelize?

Just bought 5 Nandina Gulf Stream.When should i fertelize?

Not sure what those are. But I've always followed the general rule that you do it when transplanting, when flowering, and when fruiting. So, three tomes per growing season.

But I suppose it depends on many factors, such as your growing medium, your growing area, your soil type etc.

Thanks I am trying fish fertilizer.After mixing with water,how much should i give each new plant?
