What plant is this please ?

It's grown abundantly in an area that I have never added before. Can I expect it to flower and is it going to be very invasive ?

Thanks.

Thanks Oliver

I believe it's Oxeye - highly invasive.
I have no idea where it came from.
Thanks again

I've just remembered I bought two Oxeye last year then forgot about them after they "died". Looks like they've come back to haunt me.

Like I said, they have tuberous roots connecting the plants. Any bit chopped off can easily carry on independently, but at the moment they are effectively a single plant. That means give them a good dose of systemic weedkiller and any bits you might miss will still get their share. Also, if you take a bit off first and put it in a pot you still have it, confined.

Looks a bit like the 'ornamental' daisy that invades our lawn. If it is it sends out tuberous runners.

Please refrain from adding toxins to your plants/soil. These are easy enough to pull up and dispose of.

I would agree generally, but when a plant produces tuberous runners if a bit breaks off and is missed it propagates, which makes it worth considering a systemic whilst it is all one plant.
