It looks something like a species of Ficus, but it’s a little small to be certain. Is there a tree or large shrub nearby that looks anything like it?

There was a larger shrub next to it that looked similar. I plucked this guy out of the ground on a property bound for demolition.
Cannot tell what the bigger one was.

The leaf resembles Eucalyptus.
