I'm trying to grow watermelon for the first time. I began them from the seed. Now they were standing up and getting tall. Now they are still looking green but they are starting to lean and curl to the side. Is this normal for watermelons in the beginning?

Watermelons don't grow tall, they are a vine and spread out all over the place

I'm talking the from seed process. They had began growing from seed fast and sprouting. Now they are curling over and I want to know it's that is normal. I have taking them out of cups and placed them in the ground in my backyard however I'm wondering if I kept them in cups too long. This could be the reason I'm going through this. I live in Michigan by the way!

What do you mean 'curling over'? Are the leaves curling up. Are the leaves turning yellow? Pics would help a lot

I believe Watermelon plants grow the same way as cucumbers in a vine like spread. When they say curling over, I think they mean the seedlings are leaning to the side and that is usually caused because it is trying to get to the sunlight. At least that is my case with a melon I am growing indoors, it keeps leaning over to get to the sunlight.
